Helped prevent a vitriolic dispute between two shareholders

< >

Our client was a joint shareholder and co-director of two companies and the working relationship between the two directors had irrevocably broken down. Each company in isolation was more than capable of trading profitably but there was a serious risk that both companies would fail if the problem wasn’t resolved.

It was agreed that the directors would go their separate ways and each focus on one business. This involved a share swap arrangement in which Styles & Co were closely involved in valuing both companies and negotiating an agreed price between the parties.

In sorting the problem out quickly the danger of both directors losing both businesses was avoided. Instead, our client has driven his business forward from strength to strength and has recently relocated to new premises and grown his workforce by 300%.
